R.O.T Theme : 'INCLUSIVE JOURNEY'

We , every one know about the architecture standards of Indian rails/platforms/stations which many times create a issue or can say a hurdle for passengers with mobility issues . In general , the entry gate steps/stairs of the train need to be closer to the platform floor that wheelchair /any such passenger who having knee pain or any mobility issue enter easily but nothing we have such kind of facility and just going on as usual .Why our railway not taking lessons from foreign railway's standards which every one appreciate . You don't think so , this all need to be change !

We cannot be included in the society , until we unite and pledge for barrier free environment for Person with Different Disabilities (PwDD's) /others in this civil society , Not for me , Not for you but yes for humanity , for our future generations with different Disabilities !

R.O.T Theme : 'Equality , Dignity and Humanity '

We Differently abled Indian Railway passengers many times need to face boarding problem of the train , sometimes train come early before departure to the base stations and as a result non railway passengers used the sanitary facilities of the train . It not only disturbed the Passengers like us but also affect the hygiene in such trains which need to be controlling . Many of the passengers need to advise by the physicians to travel in the hygenic environment and if not then can be lead to hospitalization !


You don't think so , that the time come that this all need to be change !

We all know that today whole world is celebrating a 'World Environment Day' and many of the efforts has been taking up to protect the nature . We are also hoping that we Will get the Barrier Free Environment/Society where we can enjoy and live our life with dignity and will succeed to give the better future for our future Generations with Disabilities !

Many Railway Passengers with Different Disabilities are well equipped to travel independently during railway journeys but it is just a reservation policy for us , that we cannot travel by rail with out an escort . Because of it , some of the railway Passengers with disabilities need to do unintentional settings with other able bodied passengers in the railway stations and show them as an escort because of unavailability of their genuine escort .

You don't think so , this all need to be change and the provision to travel with Escort for Railway Passenger with Disability need to be optional !

R.O.T- THEME : OPEN THE DOORS OF HOPE

News  published in the print media ( http://abilitykhabarnama.blogspot.in/2013/06/dont-travel-in-railway-coaches-for.html) that Mumbai Cops intentionally using the railway coaches which reserved for the passenger with different disabilities . In the Context , Railway Authorities warned the Mumbai Police by issue a Letter , but how many you think , that the occupation of these coaches limited only to the cops .. We many knows , that many of the able bodies passengers ( excluding Sr Citizens , Childs, Females , Escorts for PwDs) also regularly using these coaches for their ease , convenience in the journey , due to which most of the times , inconvenience need to experience by the Passengers with Disabilities !

R.O.T- THEME : WHY NOT EASY TO ACCESS FOR DISABILITY ?

We all very much aware with the International Humanitarian Law which came into force because of several wars in the past and Red Cross Symbol is one of the part of it which started with an aim to rehabilitate civilians/surrendered soldiers who looking to medical aid during the War . As a Ex Student in human rights , i got to know about it that why and to whom , this symbolic representation start which now a days also using as a trademark in the Health Care Industry .


You will be very much agree with me that Rehabilitation not only restricted to Medical Aid , But yes It also seek for better Accessibility , Humanity and Entertain of the Human Rights with Dignity !


I as a Person with Disability from India who suffering from Kyphosis and Polio and Always need to travel with Oxygen Support and Mechanical ventilator due to my respiratory compromises during air/train Journeys . But many times , I found difficulty for my fruitful journeys in Indian Trains , sometimes due to the faulty electrical sockets , sometimes due to the wrong policies and sometimes due to the Nexus and Sometimes due to the Accessibility Issue !



You Don't Think So , this All need to be Change !!!

Friends ! We All know that yesterday in the economic Times , Zee News etc , VIA PTI --- News published in context to the Online Reservation going to Start up sooner for the Indian Railway Passenger with Disabilities !!!! The Credit to you All , who always be an action to raise voice and support !


But this is only one step , we are moving ...we need lot of improvements in the Railway System for the Fruitful train Journeys , not only for us , but yes for our future generations too !!!


How we can forget that well maintained Sanitary i.e Wash Rooms,Toilets and Hygiene also a major necessity for a people like us . A mass quantity of indian railway passenger with different disabilities confined to their weak financial backgrounds and so as a result , they give more priority to the Sleeper Coaches/General Coaches for their journeys due to the reservation of seats available and to get maximum savings in their railway ticket fare !!!


Most of Persons like us give Tax to the Government and a important part of this Indian economy , as like able bodied or any one but in revert what we receive : bad quality of food services in the train , western toilet/disable friendly toilet in the sleeper coaches found to be broken or in a very dirty condition , hygiene in these coaches is on the bet , electrical sockets found to be faulty in maximum sleeper coaches and many more !!!!


I am remembering one comment from Honb'l Ex Foreign Minister when he told to the Media ''That Air passengers of India who travels in Economic Class , are just like a Grazing Animals !!!


I am asking from All of You , Are those Indian passengers need to be treated as a animals who somehow not economically/financially strong and depend on low class air/train journeys !!!!


Plz Plz Wake Up and Wake Up Others , who need yet to sign this Petition .....


We need to bring the change , with dignity , with respect and with support !!!!

 News Coming in the Print Media , since several years that Reserved General Coaches for Passenger with Disabilities in the Indian Trains are not so much disable friendly as Require . Most of the times , these coaches found to be over crowded by the non disable Bodied Passengers and as a result , such marginalized group experience difficulty , not only to enter in the train coach , but also to get the seat easily to experience the fruitful journey !!!
